PreView 1.00.04 Beta
Monday, 21 March 2005
PreView is the first security application that lets you see the relative security of your Windows computer against known threats in the wild. By looking at four critical elements in a layered security approach, we are able to generate a Security Score. This score is based on the core system security configurations, installed commercial security software, installed security patches, and how effective your firewall protection is configured.

PreView Security Score is similar to a credit score. PreView looks at all of the core risk areas on your computer, compares that against known threats and assigns a risk score to each area. You are able to get an overall picture of your computer's security health, and drill down into what you can do to improve your security score. All from easy to understand sections that clearly lay out where you stand. view larger

PreView is simple to install and easy to use. It's intuitive interface and consumer friendly descriptions of security threats are a welcome change from the jargon filled products that dominate the market. Each threat and element that makes up the Security Score are clickable to allow more in-depth descriptions of what it all means to you and your computer.

PreView uses the world class security research from PivX labs to evaluate thousands of Windows system options and compares those against known threats (viruses, worms, trojans, malware, etc.) and displays an easy to understand matrix to show you if you are protected against those threats. Threats are updated on a daily basis as new vulnerabilities are released into the wild.
