Firestreamer-DVD 1.5
Sunday, 27 March 2005

Firestreamer-DVD allows you to use the native Windows® Backup Utility (NTBackup) to back up and restore your files and folders to and from DVD media, with the ability to span an unlimited number of DVD writers. Firestreamer-DVD emulates a virtual tape drive and seamlessly integrates with NTBackup and Microsoft's Removable Storage, making all the features of NTBackup available for DVD writers, including data compression, media spanning, volume shadow copy, and Windows Automated System Recovery (also known as bare metal restore).

Firestreamer-DVD supports DVD-RAM, DVD+R, DVD+R DL (Dual Layer) and DVD+RW media, runs on Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server, and is fully compatible with Microsoft Small Business Server 2000/2003 Backup Configuration Wizard.

Firestreamer-DVD is also compatible with Microsoft SQL Server Backup (SQLBackup), and allows you to back up live SQL databases directly to DVD, with data compression and media spanning.
