FileKeeper 2.1.410
Wednesday, 20 April 2005
FileKeeper Pro is designed to help individuals and small organizations protect high-value information stored on desktop and laptop computers from loss due to accidental overwrites, hardware failure, theft and corruption caused by viruses.

Download security software: FileKeeper 2.1.410

Developer: FileKeeper

Continuous Data Protection

Unlike traditional backup software that backs up data according to a set schedule, FileKeeper Pro leverages next-generation "Continuous Data Protection" technology to automatically back up files as they are created and updated. Continuous Data Protection technology insures that the most recent version of a user's files is always stored out to a backup location.

Automatic Backups

Once installed and configured, FileKeeper Pro runs as a background task in Windows, automatically backing up files without requiring interaction with the user. FileKeeper users don't have to remember to back up their important files, as FileKeeper is always running, continually creating backup copies of their files as those files are created and updated.

File Versioning

FileKeeper can be configured to automatically retain previous versions of files. For example, users can configure FileKeeper to save the last 10 versions of all Microsoft Word documents or to retain the past 30 days of all Microsoft Excel documents. By retaining previous versions of a file, users have the ability to restore files to a past "known good state." For example, if a computer becomes corrupted by a virus on Monday, FileKeeper can restore the data stored on the infected computer as it existed the previous Friday.

Backs up Files to Windows, LINUX, UNIX and NAS Devices

Users can configure FileKeeper to back up files to a wide variety of storage locations including Network File Servers (Windows, UNIX, Novell and LINIX), Network Attached Storage Devices, FTP sites and locally attached storage devices (i.e., SCSI hard disks, etc.).
