BackupOnDemand also includes a built-in Open File Manager (OFM). With the OFM you can backup all open files, even those files most other backup programs can't touch.

BackupOnDemand runs in the background and monitors your important files for changes. Within seconds of changing, modified files are automatically backed up to an archive location.

BackupOnDemand relieves you of the hassle of remembering to do a backup, and even if you have a daily backup procedure, recreating a day’s worth of lost work can be frustrating. With BackupOnDemand, your will always have up to the minute backups of important files.

With BackupOnDemand you can store up the last 999 versions of each file in your archive, a real lifesaver when you accidentally overwrite or delete an important file. Files stored in the archive are compressed, so you don’t have to worry about dedicating a large portion of disk space to your archive.

BackupOnDemand can store your archived files to another directory, a second hard drive, a removable drive, DVD/CDR drive, across your local network, or over the internet via FTP.

In addition to real-time monitoring of files BackupOnDemand gives you the ability to create profiles that backup files on a set a schedule. For instance every hour, or every Friday at 11pm. This configuration works well when you have very large files that don’t change often.
