During this attack occurs the message to the computer system of the victim of a large quantity of demands of echo ICMP (ping of system). As a result occurs the decrease of the bandwidth and the load of computer system by the analysis of the arrived packets and by the generation to them of answers. Note: For the peaceful purposes of ping it is used by administrators and users for the functional test of major portions of the transport system of computational network, to estimate the work of network with the peak load.

Program sends IccMP- packet of the type ECHO REQUEST, advancing in it time and its identifier. The nucleus of machine- recipient answers a similar demand packet ICMP ECHO REPLY. After obtaining it, ping issues the speed of the passage of packet. With the standard operating mode the packets send through some time intervals, practically without loading network.
