During floods attacks occurs sending of a large quantity on the attacked system ICMP (most frequently) or UDP packets, which do not bear the useful information (rubbish). As a result occur the decrease of the bandwidth and the load of computer system by the analysis of the arrived useless packets and by the generation to them of answers.
